Juxta
Hi all, I have installed iPC 10.5.6 on a Dell precision 690 successfully except for my cpu info. when i update to 10.5.7 using combo downloaded from apple it works fine but reports my intel E5320 (1.86mhz, 1066mhz FSB) quad core as a single 3.8, although it shows 4 cores in activity monitor. I tried again but this time used ideneb 10.5.7 combo update. it worked well and identifies everything correctly except for the FSB. it says it's running at 400mhz in system profiler, cpu-x, and geekbench. Does anyone know how i can get the right FSB? I am very confused after reading so many threads about modifying the bios?!?! Has it got something to do with the SMbios kext? any help or advise would be much appreciated at this point...Cheers. Beerkex'd
Install the latest version of Chameleon 2.0 and set up an smbios.plist in /Extra with proper mac model spoofing and clock frequencies. You must use vanilla AppleSMBIOS.kext in S/L/E.
