So, as I find myself using my samsung q210 (specs: http://www.trustedreviews.com/laptops/revi...-2-Notebook/p5) nowhere near any power sockets, changing brightness is something that i find really useful.

I can get qe/ci (at least, I think so, as it's only my limited knowledge on the matter that allows me to determine this) with NvKush, or Natit, or CoreVidia, but no brightness options in display settings, nor does keyboard shortcut works.

I found one command-line utility (however, I can't seem to find it now... :) ) that got some kind of error when trying to change it. Too bad that I didn't write down what exactly the error was.

Efi strings... Well, trying to use them pretty much broke the whole deal. No qe/ci anymore, the screen became laggy. I can't figure what went wrong, i pretty much did it as the tutorial says.

Using iAtkos v7 as my distribution with chameleon 2 rc1 as boot. I did not select Acpi kexts (due to their incompability with voodoo'd touchpad kexts), nor any smbios kexts. To tell the truth, i don't really know what they do. Although once i tried using one acpi kext (dunno what exactly, can't remember), and i remember it pretty much changed nothing.

So, the question is, as I'm pretty vague on the matter due to my lack of knowledge- Nvidia gf 9200m gs. qe/ci, and brightness change. How to do this? How did you did this?

PS: Admins, if it's in the wrong section, then I'm sorry.

Ok, i found that commandline option (http://mattdanger.net/2008/12/adjust-mac-os-x-display-brightness-from-the-terminal/), and the error I have is -

brightness: failed to get brightness of display 0x28cc9140 (error -536870201)

Also, to make it clear - Efi strings don't work at all. Chameleon 2 rc2 also doesn't work. Only injectors work. That doesn't matter now, as i have full qe/ci, but still i can't change brightness!
