So I got Kalyway 10.5.2 to install, and it took a long time to install, but it did install and booted fine the first time. Sound works out of the box. A nice added bonus is that the sound wheel works! Sleep and Restart work (didn't check shutdown). Laptop doesn't sleep when closing lid (never did like that in winblows, but now it just seems wierd). Upon reboot, video went screwy (mostly white with a strip that slowly goes black). Rebooted with CD and did repair permissions on the drive, and it booted fine. It's not seeing the WIFI, but I know I have to grab drivers for it. The drivers for it are kinda flaky so I'm going to play with that a bit.

I'm not sure about the wifi But try Getting Ideneb 10.5.7 It has more hardware support for your Laptop :|

It's funny because I just finished downloading iDeneb 1.5 (pretty sure it's 10.5.7 because the rar is "iDeneb 1.5 1057".) I remember the iDeneb 1.3 worked out of the box except sound and WIFI (which was the reason for going with Kalyway). I'll give that a try!

Ok, so I did have a 10.5.7 iDeneb, but when it boots up to the installer, it doesn't see the hard drive..... I'll try deleting the current partitions and see if it works. Although I shouldn't need too.....

Ok, so I grabbed the iDeneb 1.5.1 PPF, and patching the 1.5.0 ISO did the trick. The installer saw the partitions, and I'm up and running with video, sound, and LAN. Everything is working so far except the WLAN. I'm going to try to install the AR5007EG drivers and cross my fingers.

On first bootup, I was getting the video hang, so I ran it with -v -x and it booted in safe mode, then on restart I didn't do anything special, and it booted fine! So if I can't get the WLAN working, I may just get a pcmcia card and see if I have better luck that way.....

Try xxx10.5.6 final, select apple ahci extended (under chipset), voodoo kernel 9.5.0 (the only one followed by intel.....), all kexts (optional and system), 950 the first under intel-950 graphic kext, your audio (no azalia), lan and your wifi, in hardcoded sm bios mac book (not anv) and generic cpu management.

Normally everhing has towork correctly.
