Just check the power connector. They're all designed to only fit when they are correct. So, if the Apple power connector looks exactly like an ATX one, then it is.

Note that it's not just the dimensions of the power connector - each little "knob" on it is shaped a different way. Either square, rounded, one side rounded, etc. That's how they ensure that the plug will only work where it's supposed to - it's like a puzzle piece.

There's plenty of sites out there that will show you a diagram of a standard ATX plug. Just do a couple web searches.

Additionally, newer boards often require supplemental power connectors. Most new ATX supplies you'll get now will have a four, six, and/or even an eight wire extra power plug for boards that require them. Sometimes a board will have the socket for one, but not REQUIRE one unless you have a special configuration (like a few power hungry add-on boards plugged in, or certain CPU's.) That's something you'll have to find out. The manuals can be downloaded for any board so just read that before you buy, if your supply doesn't have the extra connectors.

I'll be happy when they come up with a new standard plug that includes all the extra leads so we don't have to worry about those "extra" power supply connectors anymore.

Hope that helps.

That did help somewhat. I believe that they are the same. The only real problem I foresee is the Apple PS is only 208watts. I think I will need something with a bit more power anyway. I was just hoping it was the same because the cables route so well in the case. Guess I will just have to piece a PS together from what I have lying around. I still need to get iDeneb 1.5 working properly with the MB I have chosen to use anyway, so I have plenty of time to get the case ready ...
