Weezl
EVERYTHING WORKS! I have completed the 10.5.7 on my rig. I'm very happy with the way it runs so far. I'll be doing some benchmarks and trying some intensive programs to check out it's performance. So far I'm extremely happy with it, for all my hardware works great! The only issue I'm having is with my wireless PCI card. Occasionally it will boot without recognizing the "airport" card for some reason. A reboot usually fixes the problem and wifi is up and running, although I can only get about 4mb dl speed for some odd reason. I usually get about 20mb dl on XP and win7. Still investigating..... Here's my specs, I built this rig on a budget (obviously) One problem that I had was an error that I honestly can't remember what it was right now. It was a common problem, but it was fixed by replacing my IDE CD drive to an older model that I ripped out of an older system. It's the only problem I ever had with that drive. Odd....but as most of you understand, weird things happen when installing OS X86!!!! (And don't forget to use only SATA hard drives when installing on this mobo!!! It will not write to IDE hard drives!!!!! And also, I use an Apple Slim keyboard and OS X couldnt recognize it! hahaha WTF!!! REALLY!?!?! I had to go buy a cheap microsoft keyboard and use it for installation and setup. Afterwards it updated the apple keyboard automatically and is usuable from that point on. Also, had to use microsoft wired mouse instead of my wireless. Not sure why of that either....) ________________________________________________________________________________ [my rig] Case: Nzxt Tempest Mobo: Intel DP43TF Proc: Intel e8400 3.0ghz CPU fan: Thermaltake SpinQ RAM: PNY 800 2gb X 2 (4 total) Video: BFG Nvidia GTS 250 1024mb GDDR3 (LG 19" Widescreen LCD TV and Sharp Aquos 32" Widescreen LCD) Sound Card: Creative Xfi Platinum WiFi: Linksys WMP110 RangePlus Wireless PCI HDD: 120 Gb Seagate Baracuda 7200 rpm CD Drive: HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162B PSU: Raidmax 550 watt modular Webcam: Blue Eyeball plus nice red cathodes! ________________________________________________________________________________ ALL OF MY HARDWARE WORKED STRAIGHT OFF THE iATKOS 10.5.7 DVD!!!!! It has been fun and frustrating trying to get this to work. I built my system with this in mind, so I did a little bit of research before I put it together. I think that this whole project and bringing a community together like this is a great thing. Thanks for having an organized place to find most of the info that I needed to follow through with this little project of mine. This can only bring about good things down the road. Weezl And also, I'm triple booting XP Pro, Win7, and OS X86 from the bios at startup. It's a wonderful life.....
