snakeo2
Hi all, First time poster here....apologize in advance if this question has been asked before, but I will be building a new system pretty soon and I'm intrigued about the possibility of running MAC. I currently have a dual boot system running XP Pro & Gentoo. Ideally I would like to have a triple boot, but from what I read it can be pretty tedious so for now I will stick to running Gentoo & Mac. I will probably run XP on Virtualbox as a guest in Gentoo. I know that Leopard Snow was recently released so i'm wondering how difficult it would be to upgrade from 10.5.5 to snow once I have the system up and running. I have read the installation guides and they seem pretty self explanatory so my question relates more to my hardware. Here is a list of my hardware, I guess my question is whether or not this setup will work: Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor Ram: CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-8500C5 Video Card: MSI R4650-MD1G Radeon HD 4650 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card Hard Drive: Hitachi 1 TB Serial ATA Thanks in advance for your help.
