Arcomador
Ok back in January I purchased a DV7-1129wm and I am unhappy with windows vista's performance and I would like to switch to a Mac based operating system. Here are all of my specs: Make: HP Model: DV7-1129wm Processor: AMD Turion X2 RM-72 2.1GHZ (Dual Core) Memory: 4GB DDR2 Harddrive: WD 250GB 5400RPM Sata Video Adaptor: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 Audio: IDT High Definition Sound Controller Extra Devices: Esata Port, Memory Card Reader, Integrated webcam, Ir Port (Works with Remote) Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I am just so tired of M$ software) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176498-wondering-if-my-windows-based-laptop-can-run-mac-os-x-105-leopard/ Share on other sites
Khan_Man
Do you know what chipset and wireless and wired network cards you have? Well, the AMD processors are not well supported but can work. I'm not sure about the 3200, U'll have to look around, see if there is a solution. Doesn't sound like you're very familiar with OSX. You might consider a Linux like Ubuntu. The ethernet card is a broadcom based chip and the wireless is an atheros chip, not entirely sure of the exact model numbers at the moment. And I would rather run OSX if possible because it has support for blizzard games without emulation. Khan_Man
well, there is some hope with those networking devices. You're going to have to get specific. Check the device manager in Windows for specifics. also try dxdiag in the cmd console in windows. Try using CPU-Z in windows. You need to go information gathering. What did U find out about the ATI 3200 card? Any support?
