bradleytompkins
Hello everyone, I'm new to the whole hackintosh scene and I'm trying to put a list of hardware together that would be compatible and get the job done. So far this is what I'd like to use, and I guess I'm looking for confirmation to make sure it will all work before i put the cash down. CPU : Pentium Dual Core E5200 (Wolfdale) Mobo : GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L Mem : 2 gigs Kingston DDR2 800 HDD : Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB 3.5" SATA DVDR: SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD Burner Black SATA Video : Nvidia 8400 GS I haven't really decided on a case yet, something cheap, but I am wondering if the cheaper mini atx cases with 250W power supply would be enough for this. It's not really a beast of a system by any means, so I was thinking that might get me by but if you know any different please let me know. Thanks, Brad Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176444-help-with-buying-will-this-work/ Share on other sites
Zaap
Yes, that will work. 250W could work (none of that is very power-hungry) but it depends on the quality of the PSU. A bigger concern if you're using a low-profile case, is to make sure your graphic card is low-profile ready.
