TokiZR
Hi, I`ve installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my Dell Vostro 1000(specs at bottom), and Since the installer I noticed that the system goes very slow when there is no mouse activity, this is easier to notice when playing sound(without mouse it stops playing). I`ve seen in a topic about installing Sigmatel STAC9200(which is my board) that many people have a similar problem, but no solution was found. I sespect that is some kind of Power Management issue, but no sure. In fact I opened the system monitor and noticed that the processor usage falls more than half while not moving the mouse, keyboard activity does have a similar effect but mouse makes it run faster. I hope someone can help me to figure out the solution, at least some way to deactivate Power Management(if I`m right ). Specs: -2 Gb DDR2 on dim "A" and 512 Mb on dim "B"; -AMD Turion X2 1.6 GHz; -Sigmatel STAC9200(or some equivalent, I realy don`t know); -ATI Radeon Xpress 1150(256 shared memory); -Samsung SATA HD 250 Gb; -Broadcom BCM43xx(wi fi); Hope this is all that is relevant. Also May the Software specs may be useful: -Sound worked with AppleHDA Patcher; -Video didn`t worked tried Callisto but system profiler shows "No Kext Loaded"; UPDATE: all problems solved: the laggynes was caused by the idlehalt flag tha allows system to alm ost sleep when there is no activity. just put "idlehalt=0" on your kernel flags. Callisto worked after setting the right product ID.
