Dell XPS 420 w/ iATKOS

Hello,

 

First, my set-up:

 

DELL XPS 420:

Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 - 2.40 GHz

Dell BIOS A07

4.0 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS - 256 MB

 

SATA0: 500 GB (Windows 7)

SATA1: 160 GB (Leopard 10.5.7 - or at least that's the goal...)

 

Issue #1:

 

My display blacks-out during the install process. I've been able to get as far as customization and a full install with iATKOS 5i, with the blackout happening during the install process. With iATKOS 7i, the display blacks-out before I can really customize the install, thus rendering the effort useless.

 

When I say, "blacks-out", I am referring to the monitor going into power-save mode while my video card fan starts simultaneously. My best guess is that the card is overheating, but I can't be sure. Any ideas?

 

Issue #2:

 

My iATKOS 5i (10.5.7) install has been halting at this error:
