Azimutz
I can try.. if you are getting cable unplugged is because something is blocking the connection, like AppleHPET.kext.. But first i need to know your card.. download this app, run it, look for the line about LAN and copy/paste here. Azimutz
hey.. i'm starting to regret answering your post! First, you should know your machine's devices even before you start thinking of trying OSx86! Then you should have that info in an easy to access place, so the ones who want to help can get info without losing a lot of time. And you can attach images to the posts.. don't use Insert for that. (check the pic) And what about select/copy/paste what asked you from the app?? B. ah soz didn't see that. i've been on OSx86 since jan 2008. and upgraded to 10.5.7 this morning due to the release of logic 9, which looks awesome. like i say everything is working just not the ethernet lan port. i've attached my screen shot. Azimutz
Ok.. had to do a little research. Try installing the attachment but, don't forget to backup the existing IONetworkingFamily.kext. If it works i'll explain it to you later... Azimutz
Hum.. did you deleted kext cache (S/L/Extensions.mkext)? if not, try that. System should rebuild it when you install a kext but, you never know. I'm not familiar whit your ethernet card so, if deleting the cache doesn't work look in this topic.. Your card is a Marvell Yukon 88E8056, vendor 11ab, device id 4364. What i did was edit the info.plist inside AppleYukon2.kext (inside IONetworkingFamily).. replaced the device id in 88E8055 to match yours but, i don't know if something else needs editing?! Did you had any fix installed for it before the update? Edit: also try loading the kext from Extra folder. You need a bootloader with Extra folder support.. Chameleon2. Edit: try this attachment.. i did some changes after reading a bit more on that topic. Here is another topic with info... IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176344-internet-not-working-after-succesfull-install-of-1057/#findComment-1208310 Share on other sites
