zman10101010101 Posted July 23, 2009 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Well i installed iPC on my windows xp (successfully) and when i booted it i let it run all day and night it was still 'booting' so i ran with -v and saw it load darwin then black screen (screen was on but just black) forever. So i reinstalled osx86 ToH RC2 and then updated to 10.5.1 (success) and then found instruction on updateing FROM 10.5.1 TO 10.5.6 i made absolutely sure it was compatable. I updated and got around the power management kext via teminal then did like the instructions said dsmos and using osx86 tool to repair permissions and fix other stuf. Reboot -v Edit: i have tried -v -x -f and platform=X86PC. (i dont think the platform fix people were even talking about my error) loading darwin black screen. What do i do?? I would search an error but there is no error just a black screen. Ps i am fully aware that the update is NOT yet complete because the install on startup has not run yet. I would just reinstall leopard but i wanted to be sure just in case there is a fix for it. Please help. mr_christer Posted July 25, 2009 Share Posted July 25, 2009 man, these forums got bad. it seems like the community is not really supporting itself anymore! anyway: you should tryout another dvd! try kalyway 10.5.2 first. i had successful boot-ups with kalyway on all my computers yet. if kalyway works you can tryout the newest ideneb release but you need a s-ata dvd-rom drive. i actually bought a s-ata dvd drive just to be ableto use ideneb.... For now i have... #1 i have booted 10.5.0 ToH back on 4 now #2 i do know i am sse2 AND sse3 so im unsure of weather i "need" certain packages (wich i got anyay) I still want answers though im looking to boot it again soon. Khan_Man Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 Great computer, my first hackintosh was a D915GAGUX. almost the same board. I used it for Tiger for a few years. Still use if now and then. Leopard didn't run all that well on it but then again I didn't try hard. I haven't seen any support for GMA900 in Leopard. I think U'll have to get a video card. I would recommend a Nvidia 7300, 7600gt, 8600gt or an ATI x1900xt, x1600xt... might be hard to find, don't want to spend too much money. Maybe an nvidia 9800gt.
