I'm on a Dell e6400 and I've got most of the things working. Sound, touchpad, wifi, keyboard, and power meter all work correctly. The only thing I have a problem with is the integrated webcam. When I first booted OSX yesterday, I assumed that the webcam was working since when I was at the User Account creation screen, it was working fine when I was taking my User Account picture.

Since I thought it was working, I went on stickam to test the webcam there. No luck. So I thought I did something that broke my webcam install. I tried it on Skype, Photobooth (that doesn't even start, it says it doesn't support my graphics card), and Image Capture. None of it works with my webcam. Out of curiosity, I opened up the User Account manager, and surprisingly, the webcam still works fine there when I try to take a picture. Weird! This is the first time I've used a Mac OS really (I've been dual booting Windows and different Linux distros for years, but this is my first time with OS X). I have no idea how this is happening, or what I should do to fix it. Any help would be appreciated!

Nice! Now I've got everything working (keyboard, touchpad, trackpoint, audio, wireless, graphics) EXCEPT for the webcam... Can anyone help me out?

Misc info: Installed using XxX Leopard 10.5.5, rolled up to 10.5.6, installed the kexts provided in this thread, then moved up to 10.5.7. On a Latitude e6400.

Edit: Webcam works now! It was working all along I think. I just thought it wasn't working because it wouldn't show on stickam or photobooth. Turns out that the reason Photobooth wasn't starting was because my graphics card wasn't configured correctly. I installed NVdarwin and the Nvidia Universal Installer, and this enabled Quartz Extreme. That let me start up Photobooth. As for stickam, I just overlooked something stupid. The default camera was set up to the wrong one! I had to edit the Adobe Flash Player settings (Right click in the window>Settings>Webcam Icon>Change webcam to 'USB Video Class Video')

Thanks, this thread helped me a ton! Now if I could only get sleep/shutdown to work right, this hackintosh would be perfect -_-
