Hi folks,

I had Mac running excellent for about a month, then to get NTFS working I had to go into BIOS and change SATA Mode to AHCI from RAID. Mac booted fine and finally my NTFS partition was detected. However booting Vista in AHCI mode kept reseting, so I remembered in the iAtkos Customize Installation that there is an option to install RAID drivers so both OS would work fine..

So I installed the RAID driver and since then I'm having lots of trouble. The infamous Still waiting for root device.... message. Other than that everything in startup is normal except another message, something with an invalid UUID of `` (e.g. empty string).

But then I found out how to enable AHCI on Vista from the registry and then AHCI started to work on Vista.... But now my Mac wouldn't load after installing the RAID driver!

I've tried installing over it the AHCI driver and the Intel SATA/IDE driver that worked excellent for me but the RAID driver kept being loaded....

My question is how do I uninstall it! Looking at the install log it doesn't reveal which kext the RAID option creates, only something about uphuck's package information...

Can anyone help me please? Thanks!

System

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor

Intel GMA 950

2 GB RAM

Vanilla kernel

(By the way now both AHCI and RAID cause me to get Still waiting for root device... This started after installing that dang RAID driver.)

Hi folks,

After removing AppleRAID and some other kexts with RAID in it it still wasnt working, I then tried to provide the kernel with the boot disk with rd=disk1s2 and worked like a charm, booted in and I think it reset the UUID. Going to restart and see if all is well now. :)

Nobody loves anyone more than someone who can solve his own problems.... :)
