b34td0wnx
I've managed to install LawlessPPC10.5.4 onto a harddrive of mine, and it seems to function flawlessly. No freezes, no kernal panics, startup/shutdown/sleep, everything works except for my lan and I'm stuck at a single 1024*740 or whatever resolution. Specs - n61p-s motherboard with realtek phy rtl8201el-gr/rtl820cl lan and a built in gforce6-class onboard card nvidia 9500gt 512mb 2.2ghz phenom 9550 alc662 audio I've messed around with drivers enough to fix my audio problem, as it's now fully functional. I'm looking for a safe driver for both my lan and my video card on this version of the os (10.5.4), or a safe way to upgrade to 10.5.5 off my version without it locking up or doing something to my previous installation. I've tried booting with "graphics mode 1400x900x32" (widescreen) and it did nothing, although it did interfer with my audio for whatever reason, and it wouldn't fuction again until I shut it down and rebooted without that command. The lan would be a nice fix, but my main concern is the resolution and a fix for my video card. Maybe not even the 9500gt, maybe a driver for the onboard graphic card, since I won't be doing too much with video on my osx install. Any ideas would help, thanks. 3OH3
Open the terminal (Applications > Utilities) - Type in: sudo pico /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist Add the following before </dict>: <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1400x900x32</string> - Save the file - Reboot your computer and hope it works. If you cant save the file then save it to your desktop with the ".plist" extension and drag it over to the original folder, located in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and click "Authenticate" and then "Replace". Giorgio_multi
Hi! For the videocard: (you need a 10.5.5 version almost): Download 9 Series driver V2 from aqua-mac topic http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=132089 and install it. Then make a custom GFX string with OSX86 Tools.
