Need help installing Leopard on HP nx6325

Hello,

As the title says i own a HP nx6325 laptop and I have recently tried installing newer versions of Leopard such as iPC 10.5.6, iDeneb 10.5.7 and Leo4All (i can't remember the version right now) and neither one of those boot into the installer. They all hang at "Still waiting for root device" on the DVD. I had no problem installing Tiger or the early Leopard builds and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they might have solved it.

 

I tried copying the DVD onto an external USB drive but I haven't managed to get the laptop to boot off of it (i don't really know what bootloader to install on the USB drive).

PS: I did try searching the forum, all i got was posts complaining about problems with booting *after* the install.
