popz3210
I'm just lost on what drivers and patches I need to pick during the OSX install. The last install I picked whatever I thought might work, and the install went fine, however after the install the OS did not boot from the HDD. If anyone has ever installed iPC on this mobo, what did you pick. Thanks, James Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/175773-ipc-on-an-intel-dg965wh/ Share on other sites

distorted records
iPC and DG965WH - SUCCESS (apart from on-board sound - am workin on it!) iPC Options to tick (don't tick anything else apart from Video, software or external cards): 1. iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Base System 2. Video\NVIDA\NVdarwin 128Mb (only cos I have one plugged in to the mobo, NVdarwin are pretty solid...) 3. Video\Intel\Intel GMAX3000 (on-board video) 4. Chipset\VIA/SiS/Marvell/SB Chipset Drivers (IDE ports on mobo, S-ATA work fine with MAC defaults) 5. Audio\Sigmatel 9271 (on-board sound) 6. Ethernet\Intel 82566MM/DC (on-board LAN) 7. Fixes and Patches\Verbose Mode (highly recommended so you can always see any errors on startup - adds a few lines to com.apple.boot.plist which you can undo) 8. Software to taste... OSx86 tools a must! Apple -> About won't show any PCI cards but all PCI cards are working fine - like my UAD ones in Logic. S-ATA controller shows as unknown but who cares... On reboot you don't need to run -f as the kexts from the DVD will have already been copied to a temporary system\library\extensions folder during install. btw: HD Format: Mac OSX Journaled, GUID partition (partition -> options), call it what ever you want. If you're using > 1.5Tb or solid state don't pick journaled as you'll get jnl: flushing disk buffer returned 0x5 errors as MAC OS needs uber fast IO access and you're machine will freeze constantly! If you need BIOS settings like HPET, AHCI, etc gimme a shout. btw love this board to bits...
