liamm37
Hi All, I am new to the forum and am asking for a bit of help as I am a bit of a noob when it comes to osx86 installs! I have managed to get an old 10.5.2 Kalyway disc running on another pc a while ago with no issues like this (completely different specs) so i have a basic understanding of the installation proccess. So the story goes, I have an old HP DC7700 pc that I tried installing the iAtkos 10.5.7 on. I replaced the videocard with a Gigabyte Geforce 8400 512mb. Install went fine, but reboots straight after the bootloader tries to run the OS. I can see that the Grey apple screen does flash on the screen before it goes black and reboots. Have reinstalled twice, once on a partitioned drive and now am using a completely different HD with one partition for OSX. Both installs had the reboot issue. Have tried both bootloaders (Charmeleon v2 and Xiezhy), tried with the standard customisation options that come with this release of iAtkos and have also tried installing with the following drivers enabled: DVI/VGA EFI String for Nvidia, Intel SATA / IDE & Voodoo HDA Driver for Sound. Have spent hours reading through the forum here and have followed a few peoples advice when it comes to these machines: Have disabled the ethernet controller and the intel hd audio device in the bios. Have also upgraded to the latest BIOS firmware from hp site. After all of this, downloaded and installed iPC 10.5.6. Install went fine and now I can see the Grey Apple booting screen However it just comes up with the O with a line through it icon. Upon booting with -v, I can actually get an error to put up here. The Error im getting now is: Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key> IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict> Have tried booting from the DVD, still doesn't work but gives a different error, have also disabled the Audio and Ethernet drivers again, doesn't work but gives another different error. I have attached 3 images which show the errors on the screen in case any other information will help anyone who know's thier stuff. Specs on PC: Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz with 2MB Cache (i think its an Pentium 820 from what I have read online but cannot find anywhere on the pc where it says that). 512MB ram, Gigabyte Geforce 8400GS (512MB), Hewlett Packard 0A58H Mobo. 2 HD's both plugged in with Sata and a CD drive plugged in with Sata. cpus=1 doesn't do anything either. I know I may have gone overboard on information here but It could be a very small detail that's causing this so I thought I'd just put everything in! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
