viche12345
Hello all. I'm having a lot of trouble installing various distributions on my PC. I have DVDs for Kalyway 10.5.2, iAtkos v2.0, iAtkos v7, Leo4All v3, JaS 10.5.4. None of them have worked for me. iAtkos and Leo4All installations cannot boot; the boot halts at a specific line. Kalyway and JaS install successfully. But upon booting using verbose mode, the boot halts at a specific line. So, the general problem is that the boot halts at a specific line. However, there are variations of this problem among these OSX86 distributions. I've only used the -v flag when booting. I'm starting to think that this is a kernel problem. Could this be? I need your input! Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/175761-various-booting-troubles/ Share on other sites

viche12345
I'll take several screenshots and post them here, as each distro presents a unique one. How odd. I don't have access to my desktop at this instant but I remember some of its specs from the top of my head: Mobo: Foxconn P35A (Intel P35 + ICH9) Audio: n/a (using plug-n-play usb audio) LAN: Realtek 8111B gigabit CPU: Pentium Dual-core E2180 GPU: Radeon HD3850 (not sure of the brand) RAM: 3GB DDR2-667 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/175761-various-booting-troubles/#findComment-1204990 Share on other sites
