I only get a number "3", a flashing "_" and at that point I can't go on! Yesterday everything went smooth and I had no problems at all running the bootloader and the OS I have on my pc : WIN XP and Leopard 10.5.7. Now I am running Ubuntu 9.04 booted from USB drive and everything works great... WHAT HAPPENED??? Is ther any way I can solve it??? radekge
I'm not sure what happened but you can check in some partitioning tool in ubuntu if your mac partition is set as "active" (it should be). If it's not, set it to active and reboot. If nothing helps you can download iAtkos v7, start the cd and when the installation screen appears choose from top menu "Install Chameleon2 bootloader". It will install the bootloader. After that reboot. I don't know if any other distributions can install the bootloader without installing whole system. mr_christer
try downloading the Boot 132 cd http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113288 then boot from it (in case you don't have an internal dvd try asking friends if they have an external one) you might also create a bootable usb stick with the image after booting to boot 132 you can select your partition that has ideneb (btw the bootloader is darwin) after doing so you can try to install the newest chameleon botloader! good luck! with my dell laptop i had similar problems as you have them... it happened like 5 times in 2 years that the computer started up with some cryptic numbers and a blinking cursor. it turned out it was the samsung 160GB HD. now i went back to my 80GB Toshiba original laptop hdd and i didn'h have a problem since maybe osx is not the problem here...
