TommyLeeJones Posted July 19, 2009 Share Posted July 19, 2009 Hi @ all I´ve tried now the 8th time to install the OSX with the iAtkos 10.5.7 DVD - and I still can´t get into the I-Net!! I´ve got an ASUS P5E here and it worked without making (big) troubles with the 10.5.4 version of it! And with the new installation I can´t bring the Marvell Yukon 88E8056 to go!! Does anybody know what I´ve to do - i really sucks.... Remember with the old installation it worked out of the box (DVD) and with the new one I can´t even see the ethernet controller in my system preferences..... ...except Bluetooth and FireWire... Is there absolutely no chance to get the problem fixed!? I´ve tried to install those IONetwokFamily.kexts and some other stuff I found - but nothing fixes the mess! kpkp Posted July 20, 2009 Share Posted July 20, 2009 Read this guide Burn this to a CD (it can be a RW so u don't waste them, but on other hand is always useful to have) Kexts i use for the P5K-E WiFi/AP (all works except the PATA controller) Tell me exactly what version of the P5K you have, so i can tell you if there are some kexts u don't need to use (like WIFI). I can tall you a few key steps u have to do (more details in the guide) u need: -A retail DVD -A CD with the P5K boot iso -UInstaller -the right kexts u have to do: -boot from the P5K boot CD -replace the cd with the retail Leopard DVD -follow the OSX install wizard till it installs the OS -boot again with the P5K boot CD, press F8 then "esc" and enter 81 (for primary drive) -once u are in the OS desktop run the UInstaller, select the OSX partition and then check the set native resolution, install PC_EFI v9, apply your video card EFI string and install custom kexts (select the kexts i linked u above).
