Torretto
Hello everyone, i have recently updated my laptop to 10.5.7 using the iDeneb updater and everything works except for reboot and shutdown. When i issue either of these commands the desktop fades away as it should, the screen flashes a few different shades of blue and etc. then the system drops out to the login screen. Anyone else have this problem? Any help will b appreciated. Thanks, Torretto Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/175423-1057-shutdownreboot-fix/ Share on other sites

Torretto
Thank you for the quick reply, i am running the Vanilla 9.7 kernel. I would try the voodoo kernel but will that slow down the system or break my copy of Vmware Fusion, as has happened before with patched kernels? I also do have QE and CI enable on my machine Edit: Have tried the Voodoo kernel, produces the same results Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/175423-1057-shutdownreboot-fix/#findComment-1203543 Share on other sites
