thecanadian
Hi all. I've attempted to get the deadmoo image working on an intel 865 chipset. Using OS X on my G5, I dd'd the deadmoo image to my iPod's hard drive, and from there have plugged it into the PC via USB 2.0. It boots to the point where I can select boot options, and all combinations of -f, -x, -v, platform=ACPI|X86PC have failed to get me anywhere past the point where, in verbose mode while booting, I get the error message "nfs_boot_init failed with 6" whereupon the whole thing hangs, waiting for remote debugging connection. Any ideas on how to fix this? I've attempted to disable built-in ethernet via the BIOS, but to no avail. Thanks! --- Chris Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1750-inescapable-boot-problem/ Share on other sites
manbeard
i'm running into the same problem on an hp zx5280us laptop (p4 3.2ghz w/ HT, 1gb ram, radeon mobile 9600) when trying to do a fresh install using a patched 10.4.3 disc. looks like a network card issue, is there any way to disable it before installation? fireshark
its a HD partition issue. since your partition cant be "found", it goes to network boot. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1750-inescapable-boot-problem/#findComment-69660 Share on other sites
