whateveraffair
hi everyone, im new to the world of osx86, planning on building a system for everyday usage and working with photography programs (Lightroom 2 & Photoshop CS4). Im not very comfortable with computer but i've done a lot of research about building a hackintosh, and here is my system components; ASUS P5KPL-CM, Sockel 775, Intel G31 Chipset CPU : Intel core 2 quad Q6700 2.66gb Nvidia Geforce 9800GT 1024MB 4gb DDR2 800ghz integrated sound card 1GB HDD at 7,200rpm GigaBit LAN Ethernet LAN 600W power supply I am not sure if this system will work, please leave some advice. I think the motherboard is a little outdated, im not sure if this board is good in the long term ie. upgrading the graphic card, multiple harddrives etc . please comment or suggest a better one if possible. also i would like to have about 8gb of ram will this board support it? if i would like to use a better sound card, which options do i have? could anyone please recommend something. I would like to have wireless internet connection as well, but i do not know which one i could use, please also suggest in the long run (putting more harddrives) will the 600w power supply be enough or should i get a more powerful one. the most complicated thing and something i have no idea about is which patch do i need? i would like to run the newest version of leopard and hopefully the snow leopard in the neat future. leo4all? kalliway? please please give me some advice on this. or perhaps i should ignore this section for now and only concentrated on getting the hardware ready first?? This is my first time building a pc on my own and obviously my first hackintosh, sorry if my questions are confusing, or sound stupid and i hope this is not too long of a post. any comments will be highly appreciated.
