prodigalfish
*Moderators: my apologies. Feel free to move this within the original thread of same title* DRM Error 8152 The Short: Library/Preferences/SystemComfiguration Folder Moved NetworkInterfaces.plist to the Trash (not before making a copy). Rebooted (the plist recreates thy self). Netflix working flawlessly now. The Long: I'm using wireless only- no ethernet connection. As I read somewhere on a different site (must find that again and give that poster his or her props) the DRM check portion of Netflix is automatically going to do this by seeking out the primary adapter (which would be Ethernet en0 on Mac OS). Does it realize up until then the entire process was using Airport? No...that would be way too easy. My non-used ethernet is there in Network Preferences but merely shows as "unplugged". Trashing the Networkinterfaces.plist allows it to rebuild itself on next boot- here the OS realizes that only the Airport is ready for internet action so it makes that the new primary adapter. I tried this a second time after a full reinstall of 10.5.5. Did this and Only this (used the regular Silverlight download, no kext files added, etc.). Worked perfectly. Worked for my setup but no guarantees here. I copied my plist to the desktop first before trashing (good to keep your original if you have issues/doesn't work). Old-ish thread but still seeing a lot of folks on the interweb having this issue, so hopefully this helps someone (saves them A Lot of time).
