kikamara
Hi, I'm having trouble to install any Mac OS X image so expert advice is needed! My setup: MSI G31M-F (v1) mainboard Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2x 2GB DDR Samsung SATA and IDE hard disks ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro LG HD-DVD+Blu-Ray combo I've tried these but none of them seems to work: KALYWAY LEOPARD 10.5.1 intel SSE2 and SSE3 iPC OSx86 Leopard 10.5.6 Intel AMD SSE2 SSE3 iATKOS_v7 If I just press enter on bootloader the PC reboots. Using "-v" it looks like it loads a couple of lines and then reboots. I've tried vanilla mac_kernel cpus=1 -v -f -s -x -legacy and about every possible attributes but I can't get into install menu. Best I can do is to have apple logo and seems like install freezes there. It doesn't seem to matter if I use IDE or SATA drive (I tried with IDE only, 2x SATA only and 2x SATA + IDE). Here are some photos of what's happening: http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/327/15234827.jpg http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/7161/40907537.jpg I think this was with iATKOS_v7 and "cpus=1 -v": http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/2733/34802028.jpg I tried to find someone who is using the same mainboard but no one seems to have luck with it. Is mainboard the issue here? I'm a complete noob what comes to Macs and I would just really like to have some basic knowledge about using OS X. I don't even need to have working sound, wlan, lan etc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174906-expert-help-needed-msi-g31m/ Share on other sites
