klank
Ok first of all I must say that I am a total n00b in osx86... I did a little search and I found a bios patch for my mb before installing. That's all what I did before trying to install Leopard.. So I boot from the DVD formated my drive to Mac osx extended (journaled) and then I installed the system but I didn't install some things like kernel cause I didn't see anywhere the correct kernel for my setup... After install I get the "Still waiting for root device" error.. My setup has the following: MB: ASUS P5Q3 CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 Q9400 RAM: x2 2GB Corsair DDR 3 Graphics: RADEON HD 4850 HDD: WD 500GB Sata II Install DVD: iPC 10.5.6 PPF 5 Final I tried to do exactly what HLC suggested for my MB but some things can't be done, like with the kernel.... Anybody has a similar setup that managed to install Leopard on it? Plz help me? Also how can I install the drivers for my mb while the installer doesn't have any? Thx in advance Edit: I formatted once again and reinstalled leopard and this time I set my drive as primary(in BIOS) cause I have 2 drives(the other running XP) Also I saw that if I didn't check any kernel from the installer, the installer is installing the default which is Vanilla 0.9.6 i think(So I'm good for that matter) ...but still the same error Anybody plz? I am desperate Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174899-leopard-on-asus-p5q3-problem/ Share on other sites
