Well, I've come across strange issue, I could not get "temperature monitor" work after installing "voodooPS2controller.kext" which has allowed me fully utilizing trackpad-I'm very happy about it. ;)

I've downloaded it( temp. monitor ) more than couple times and installed it, but I just could not get it working.

All it said was " .........was unexpectedly stopped working......." and leave me with given options " ignore", ""report", and "relaunch", but none of these worked.

Out of curiosity, I typed "-f" at the start up and everything turned out to be O.K, but when I restarted it without typing any, "DOOM", back to unusable( temp. monitor NOT comp. ) state.

Is there anything I can do to get this-temp monitor-working?

Thanks in advance.

P.S: I personally prefer starting my laptop under "-f" cause in this way I can get it going in one go, otherwise it needs two or three attempts getting it started.

Is it O.K to start up under"-f", what's the difference between "-f" and none?

Oh, by the way, I'm on iDeneb updated to 10.5.7, if it matters-I used to use it on earlier version without any issue.

No, there is no down side that I know of booting with -f, but if you don't want to always type it in the bootloader, you can change your com.apple.Boot.plist and add the -f flag only if you feel comfortable modifying this file, it is necessary to boot the OS.
