hathiphnath
Hi all! I'm a complete OSx86 newbie and this is also my first OS X experience. I messed around in OSx86 wiki and decided that Kalyway 10.5.2. was the most compatible for my hardware setup, plus I found this nice tutorial that had a similar setup to mine. Anyways, this PS2 issue came to me completely out of the blue.. luckily I had an USB mouse available and I managed to actually install the OSx86 without typing anything, but when I booted it up, the use of a keyboard was inevitable... wifi passwords, registration etc, and I simply don't have a USB keyboard available. I booted up Ubuntu LiveCD and tried simply copying ACPIPS2Nub.kext_1052 to the extension folder but I didn't have the permissions. So, is there any way to get the keyboard and mouse working at this point? I'd actually prefer using both PS2 mouse and keyboard if that's important. And in case my signature should change, here's my setup for future reference. Asus A8N-E motherboard; AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2.2GHz, One Core); nVidia GeForce 6600 (256MB); 2GB RAM (1GB when installing); Broadcom BCM4320 wireless Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174577-ps2-mouse-and-keboard-issue/ Share on other sites
Giorgio_multi
Hi. With Kalyway You must have both mouse and keyboard or PS2 or USB. Giorgio Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174577-ps2-mouse-and-keboard-issue/#findComment-1198480 Share on other sites
hathiphnath
But any workarounds then? I don't really care what distribution to use as long as it's Leopard and it works. Well, you see my configuration. Feel free to recommend me anything.
