Hello all,

This is my first post here, and I sincerely hope I have placed this in the right section.

Now on to the problem. While using the BTD-V201 Bluetooth Adapter to stream music into my Motorola S9-HD heaphones, static often develops. The standard diagnosis, of course, is interference. That's certainly a possibility, but I will have to investigate it tomorrow, as it's far to late to be walking around the house pulling plugs! :D I also am sceptical that it's interference because I can use the same adapter on the same hardware with the same headphones in WinVista with NO problems whatsoever.

But for now, I've got another theory. I have noticed that the bouts of static coincide exactly with periods of (what I assume is) slightly higher CPU use. For example, when ever I move my mouse over the dock and it magnifies, the static appears and sometimes the audio feed into my headphones completely cuts off. As soon as I move my mouse off the dock things return to normal.

Likewise, whenever I load a page or switch tabs in Firefox the audio gets scratchy or cuts out. And really, almost any program causes a little bit of static, but Firefox and the Dock are the big offenders so far. Scrolling, minimizing and restoring applications to and from the dock also do it. Maybe it's a problem with iTunes, but this problem DOES NOT occur when the audio is put through the speakers.

Weird, eh? Well, it may be a coincidence, but I think it's worth investigating! Maybe somebody can shed some light on this.

FYI, I just installed OS X 10.5.5 yesterday on my PC. It's been amazing, and it's performance is slightly better than WinVista Ult on another partition. However, this means that I am VERY new to all this, so step-by-step explanations would be appreciated! most of my OS experience has been in Linux.

Thanks for any help!
