gui Posted May 14, 2006 Share Posted May 14, 2006 Hello, I did a stupid thing, I had 10.4.5 working almost perfectly but a few minor problems lead me to try the SSE2 Maxxuss patch because I discovered that me PIV 2,66 didn´t have SSE3. As a result I can´t boot nor reinstall without reformatting the drive, wich I don´t want because I have stuff going on and lots of data already there (backed up). The patch modifies the kernel and makes a bkup of the old one. It seems to have a restore option but I can´t run it because I can´t boot, and booting from DVD won´t let me change the disc for run the unistall patch from the terminal... I´m in trouble and I´m also a novice with Macs. I tried to safe boot but don´t know if I´m doing properly...I gues not because nothing happens. also I don´t know the modifier options at startup.
