I only have little experience with hackintosh, I just bought and built a cheap desktop along the recommendations of this forum and installed retail 10.5.6 with no problems, with the guide I have found here, everything works. But even a blind monkey could do that. What I'm reading about notebooks, its far more complicated. I assume its important to have core 2 duo and nvidia graphics. The HP pavilion dv5-1140 FV765EA has an Intel T5800 2,0GHz and a Nvidia GF9200 / 256M V. Am I right with my assumtions? Also, is it better to install with boot-132 and retail or to use some of the various distributions? Thanks! Identical hardware configuration, trying to install according to this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=155318 Unfortunately just before language selection screen should show I am stuck when the grey icon pops out onto the apple icon.
