kurbads
I have everything finally installed and working with iAtkos v7 except kernel. Now I discovered the kernel 9.5.7 I choose during install was not right one. I found out my CPU (E8200) supports Vanilla. How do I now switch to Vanilla without clean reinstall? I tried to remove the word "custom" from com.apple.boot.plist - no luck. Chameleon2 bootloader does not respond to F8 key and does not open the black screen. There is no where to type any commands and no help. Do I have to type mach_kernel instead of custom? I can access the OSX partition from XP to revert wrong changes. My plist file looks like this: <key>Kernel</key> <string>Custom</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>device-properties</key> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174126-how-do-i-select-vanilla-kernel-of-installed-osx86/ Share on other sites

The thing why my machine did not start after I put this manually was I had not enabled AHCI mode for sata and head Execute disable bit disabled since it led to constant Explorer shutdowns when movie file was selected under XP.
