Dennis85
Hi, this is my first post here after much days trying out with the installer. (Warning: My english is awfull sorry, but I think the information can be understand ) Before I post my problem situation, here is my full hardware list Mainboard: ASRock ALiveNF6G-GLAN (Bios v. 1.5) CPU: QuadCore AMD Phenom X4 9650, 2300 MHz (11.5 x 200) Agena / B3 stepping. Memory: (8GB) with 4 x Qimonda-"64T256020EU2.5C2" 2GB DDR2 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 by eVGA (2-GPUs on Card) HDD: 953870Mb Hitachi HDT721010SLA360 and 238475Mb WDC WD2500JS-55NCB1 (both S-ATA) All devices are connected to the mainboard like Sata, Sound etc. If someone wiches the full detailed list of my hardware, I can make a full Everest export. I got the Zephyroth AMD 10.5.2 Rev. 2 disk and some others, but I prefer this one because on the osx86 wiki my Mainboard should be compatible with that version. If I insert the DVD and boot from it, the kernel is loaded to RAM and then after 5 sec, the machine reboots from self. I must cancel this loop, so it would repeat for ever. If I try to use optional boot parameters like (-x) or (cpus=1 2 3 or 4), it loads into that kernel, but while loading the installer, it breaks into a reset too. So this is the same result. I can't get any GUI or so, only text, with -v I can see the modules which are loaded, but the reset is so fast, that I can't get the problem. If I try other releases, even 10.4.x ones, It does the same, always. I read alot, but I don't have any experience with BSD systems, only a bit linux. So I am on the end of my knowelege and I hope someone could tell me about my hardware and compatibly with those osx releases. All I need to know is, yes I can do with my system or no it is not that easy. I will buy a Mac someday definitely! But I wanna try out that nice os before. Thank you for any help -Dennis Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/173784-my-system-resets-on-any-osx86-installation/ Share on other sites
