xeikon
Hello: I have iDeneb v4 Mac OS 10.5.7 installed on a laptop Dell Inspiron 1525. I don´t know exactly when the laptop DVD drive started to read (or tried to read) a disk EVERY SINGLE MINUTE. Which is driving me crazy. So every now and then it makes a sound like moving the drive´s reading head and rotates for a second, then it stops. No matter if there´s a disk inside or not. I wonder if anyone knows how to solve this problem. I am not sure but I have a suspicius that the problem started after installing "Stuffit". Any help would be very much appretited. Eduardo. jumbochilli
Try disabling sleep for hard drives in the Energy Saver system preferences. Thanks Beerkex'd. That rather irritating noise from dvd drive seems gone.
