timothypaste
First of all, my computer: Processor Processor Name: Intel Pentium E5200 Processor Specification: Pentium® Dual Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50Ghz Motherboard Manufacturer: Gateway Model: MS-7399 Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce 7100 Southbridge: NVIDIA nForce 630i I pulled this information from CPUID I'm pretty sure I got all that is necessary here for you to help me. I am trying to install Mac OS X 10.5.4 Leopard on my second internal hard drive. I am currently using the Mac OS X 10.5.4 Leopard Retail Install Disc and the BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY boot loader disc. The first thing I do is insert the BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY disc and boot from it using the boot manager. I get to the darwin x86 screen where it asks me to either hit enter or put in -v. I then replace the disc with the retail install disc for Mac OS X, and I boot from the DVD drive by typing in the hexadecimal address (EF). It begins to load the disc, and for a second a little message is flashed about something being missing. It's too fast for me to catch. Then I get an error message reading: EBIOS read error: Controller or device error Block 16432736 Sectors 64 and it shows this message 4 times. After a bit of struggling in the dvd drive, it says it must pause for 5 seconds, and restart or something, and the apple logo is flashed, but then my computer restarts there after. So my questions are: 1. What am I doing wrong? 2. How can I get this to work?
