crumpo
Hi, I just thought I would share my experience on installing OSX on my ASUS M2A-VM. My configuration is: - ASUS M2A-VM - AMD X2 4850e - 8 GB RAM - SATA HDD and DVD Drive - NVIDIA 7300GS I tried to get IAtkos v7 working, but just happened to have to many KPs even in the installer (tried booting w/mach_970, maxmem=2048, -f-v-x etc but to no avail) With iDeneb however I managed to get a smooth and stable system up and running. This is what I did: - I formatted my harddrive in with GUID Layout - from the options I selected the following packages - fonts, x11 (should not matter) - NVInject 128 (for my gfx card, ymmv) - setabelt fix - AMD-Patch (probably not necessary w/voodoo kernel) - AZalia Audio - AppleATIATA After installation (takes approx. one hour) I ran the AppleHDAPatcher with the included codex.txt (just drop it on the program icon) to get full audio in/and output working! I also replaced the sata driver with the one from slashhack to avoid KPs with > 3 GB of RAM (all in the attached archive Archiv.zip) The systems runs very fast and smooth. If this is of any use enjoy! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/173620-ideneb-14-on-asus-m2a-vm/ Share on other sites
Samiam303
Every distro I've tried on this mobo has been plagued by problems with sleep mode, particularly when USB devices are plugged in -- I've tried all sorts of USB kexts and never totally solved it. You aren't having any sort of problems with this distro? Also, if you know offhand, what bios revision is your motherboard at?
