Sorry if this has been posted before, but I did some search and haven't found it.

I've sucessfully installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my Gateway P-6831FX notebook (still needs to get sound and WiFi working, but that's another story), but when I tried to install the iPhone SDK 3.0 it warned me to update to 10.5.7 before installing the SDK.

I followed netkas' guide, managed to get it updated, but the system wasn't normal, the keyboard and the touchpad weren't working, and I ended up with a HFS+ error or something like when I tried to boot Mac OS X.

So, is there a step-by-step guide on how to update Kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.7? Or even a new, better release to install 10.5.7 directly?

From 10.5.2 to 10.5.6, go to http://insanelymac.blogspot.com/2008/12/up...5x-to-1056.html.

Then go to http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/05/update-...m-1056-to-1057/ for 10.5.7.

They both work for me. Good luck.

Thanks for the response, but unfortunately the links are broken... would you happen to know of any other guide?

At least now I know I must upgrade by 2 step! Thanks!

I downloaded iDeneb Combo Upgrade KIT 10.5.7 works fine.

One thing I had to do, is press any key to enter startup options and then type ANV to select the ANV kernel, it did a couple of reboots and each time needed to type this, but worked apart from that.
