kaethre Posted July 3, 2009 Share Posted July 3, 2009 I've been trying on weekends to get OS X 10.5.1 Retail installed on my system, using Chameleon and Boot-132, and using both the DVD and a usb drive (image of the dvd). My issue is that when it loads Darwin I get a quick flash of the light gray screen (no apple icon) then the computer reboots. I've tried booting using -v, -x, -f, cpus=1, and turning off LAN on my motherboard, in all the combinations (I actually made a grid and did them all). I've read tons of threads here and tutorials elsewhere, and I believe it may be related to an incompatible motherboard, or a lack of the necessary modifications (kexts or a different kernel). However, I can't find anything specific to my hardware or situation, so I'm at a bit of a loss. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated. My specs follow, if anything else is needed, I'll try to get that information but hints as to how to get it are always helpful. If so how? I have that Foxcumm as well and no luck at all!
