attacknick
i have an acer 5315 and it is running Leo4allv3 with vanilla kernel 9.2.2, but when I update through software update, leopard 10.5.7 combo always leaves my laptop in a kernel panic. then i have to reinstall. I thought i could do software update on vanilla? i installed voodoo. then updated to 5.7 and in verbose mode it stopped at com.apple.dont.steal.mac.osx! what should i do? Marclh
I would say it is a kext that the update installs, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. Google and install the Voodoo Kernel 9.5.0 and re-run the Apple Software update, it should work then. The Voodoo Kernel disables the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext from running.
