digerati1338
I have just completed a successful dual-boot install on a single hard disk (MBR) using boot-132 and the tutorial here. Before setting up this dual-boot system, I did a test-install using the boot-132/chameleon method that is in the readme file of the DS3L boot-132 kit found here. When I did the test install, there were a few post-install steps from the tutorial that were necessary to get everything working. I'm unsure what the correct way to do these steps is on my new install given that I'm now using a boot-132 partition instead of chameleon. These steps included: Install Chameleon & dsdt.aml file. (I assume I don't need to do this for the dual-boot setup because it is taken care of by the boot-132 partition. Correct me if I'm wrong.) Using OSx86 tools, install all kexts from the kext folder included with the ds3l kit. I'm not sure about this one, but I think these files are already on my boot-132 partition as well, right? Add EFI Strings/Boot Flag. (Not sure what to do here) This step was not in the readme, but my nvidia graphics card was not working correctly, so after some research I used the NVKush Installer and that got things working well. I'm not sure if this is the correct approach to use with boot-132 or not. As I said, I did a single boot install using the chameleon bootloader first. After this was working well, I did the dual-boot install using a boot-132 partition to replace chameleon, and have the install running, but I'm unsure what the proper way to add the graphics drivers and kexts to the boot-132 install is. Any suggestions or ideas you could give me would be great. Oh and if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm still new at OSx86. Here's my hardware list: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00 Ghz OC to 3.60 Ghz MSI Nvidia 8600 GTS OC with 256MB Video RAM 4GB DDR2-800 RAM Retail Leopard OS X 10.5 Thanks for the help!
