d2a Posted July 1, 2009 Share Posted July 1, 2009 system: acer aspire one zg5 running XxX 10.5.6 with voodoo kernel apple wireless n pci-e 30gb zif hd bluetooth: tried the d-link dbt-120 and it works perfectly - pairs, allows me to use phone as modem, and can be switched on or off via the menu or pref pane tried two mini bluetooth adapters and when inserted, bluetooth menu is greyed out and cannot be turned on. deleting the bluetooth preferences and restarting gives some response, but on pairing attempt, the pairing fails and the BT menu greys out. belkin F8T016 shows up in system profiler as BCM2046B1 (broadcom) with three sub items: composite device x 2 and a bluetooth usb +EDR adpater v2.1 UHE i might have a crack at changing the ids in the broadcom bluetooth kext to match but has anyone got any experience with the problem before i do? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/173123-belkin-usb-bluetooth-always-off/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
