Hey all,

i just added a new partition to my hard drive. I wanted to install a new distro of OSX86, but wanted to keep my old one (labeled 'osx86' in the picture) just in case. So I split the hard drive, and the install was successful. Now I want to make my 2nd distro's partition (labeled 'osx86_2' in the picture), but it won't let me make the 2nd partition any bigger. I know it has to do with where the data is on the partition, but I don't know how to solve it. Can anyone shed some light on this?

thats how the partition table is. thats where the partition starts. you need to move the entire partition, and disk utility doesnt do that AFAIK. Seearch on google for a utility

You can always use GParted Live to resize and move your partitions. Its a great tool and though not always the fastest, it gets the job done. I actually made a post about it here so check it out if you want and see if you can get it to do what you need it to. Good Luck!
