Hi!

I install OS X with sucess on my Acer 1694, with xxx86 (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=157314).

Could u help me with some post installation problems?

1- My OS X is +- half Portuguese, half English, how can i place entirely in Portuguese?

2- Resolution is 1024x768 only. How can a better resolution? There are any drivers for my video card (ATI Mobility Radeon X700 PCI Express)?

3- LAN is not work (Fast Ethernet 10/100/1000Mbps)

4- Boot and shutdown are in text mode, how to put in graphical mode with a apple symbol?

Thanks for help, Ricardo (Portugal)

PS: Sorry my english :(

For #4, go into terminal and type:

nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

Look in Kernel Flags if you see "-v", remove it. Ctrl + O, enter, Ctrl + X.

For 2 and 3, you need to search, buddy. OSx86 doesn't work out of the box for everyone, you most likely after installation need to manually download and install kexts depending on your hardware. So search insanelymac.com for your hardware kexts, it's not that hard.

I Elad Nava,

First, thanks for your help, works fine!

For #2 and #3, i search in this topics: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10415 and http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showforum=152 and i can't find a resolution for my problem. (To my wireless card i found a iwi driver and it works) So i ask to someone more experienced.

If you, or other, could help me with more specific guidelines i apreciate.

But thanks for you help again.

Regards, Ricardo
