bfldworker
I have searched this board top to bottom and I haven't found a subject that covers this specific issue. And honestly I don't know if I am in the right forum for this question, so please forgive me. I have a non-stock Dell Dimension 4800 system, meaning the only thing that is still in the computer when it was made was the motherboard, nothing else. Even the passive heatsink isn't stock. I want to know if I can run 10.5 on this system. I know you can run 10.5 on a Core Duo (32-bit intel) Specs are (I am not going to try to overload, just going to keep it simple) Dell Mobo with latest firmware/BIOS A12 Intel P4 2.53 Ghz 512k L2 2GB DDR-400 865PE Northbridge Intel 82801EB Southbridge AGP ATI Radeon x800xl 256MB DDR3 (Running 8x speed) Creative labs Audigy 2 ZS Intel Pro/100 VE Integrated Network I don't see why it won't run it, but I want to ask the experts. I am getting very tired with Windows and I have been wanting to go to Mac, but with how tight money is...... Any info would be greatly appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172403-installing-on-a-dell-dimension-4800/ Share on other sites
