RetroRen
My setup is: Gigabyte 790x UD4P Amd Phenom II X2 550 8 Gb DDR2 RAM Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD3850 19'' Samsung Syncmaster LCD After a lot of problem with finding suitable distro and trying to install, I managed to install OSX with XxX 10.5.6 final v1. I selected only kernel and bootloader with some of the patches to get the install done. I was able to boot in OSX only in safe mode, normal boot was giving me only black screen. I decided to install kexts using safe mode, i succeeded with SB700 and LAN kext, but I run into problems with graphics kext. First I installed 38500 .pkg kext from this forum, and that gave me a blank white screen when trying to boot OSX. Then I went back to safe mode and decided to ad a string to boot.plist for my VGA with EFI studio. After restart that gave me only blank blue screen on both normal and safe boot! So now I'm stuck with a blank blue screen, not being able to boot into safe mode. Tried booting with ''-v -f -s -x Graphics Mode=1024x768x32'', didn't help Is there a way to resolve this problem without a new install? I had a lot of problems installing OSX, I would like to avoid that again. I tried so many times that I dont remember what kernel and patches did I select when I succeeded Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172400-blue-screen-on-boot-after-install/ Share on other sites
