Michael Appleby Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Hey! I'm trying to use both my VGA and DVI screen as I would as if I were on windows (i.e. extended desktop). I have installed the 'NVInstaller V.41' package and when I reboot after installation I simply get my desktop and a cursor. The only way that I can gain access to the machine once again to change the settings is to un-plug my DVI monitor and start osx with the -x switch, starting in safe-mode and only using my VGA monitor. I have tried using the -v switch to identify any errors and there are none (obviously must be something to do with confirugation otherwise I wouldn't see any ouput on my dvi screen when I boot normally!) Just wondering if anyone else has the same graphics card and has achieved the dual screen setup? If you could reply back with any instructions or pointers, I'd be most greatful! - Anyone else with insights would be welcomed as well! Many thanks, Michael.
