dreadlocks1221
I'm trying to build the equivalent of a mac pro on my own but super beefed up so to speak. My question is with the following hardware would I be able to install a retail copy of leopard or snow leopard? I tried to get either the equivalent, similar, or native compatible: ASUS Z8NR-D12(ASMB4-IKVM) Dual LGA 1366 Intel 5500 Tylersburg SSI EEB 3.61 Dual Intel Xeon 5500 Series w/ Remote Management ... - Retail 3x SUPER TALENT 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) ECC Registered Server Memory Model W13RX12GH - Retail EVGA 01G-P3-1080-TR GeForce GTX 285 for Mac 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - Retail 2x Intel Xeon W5580 Nehalem 3.2GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Server Processor Model BX80602W5580 - Retail Raptor Hard Drive It may seem expensive to buy all that outright but after I customized one on apple it came out to be much much more thanks for all help in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172149-new-mac-pro-build/ Share on other sites
