All,

Recently I acquired from a friend a Sony UX490N. He decided to upgrade to a P model and I picked it up cheap. Of course, after being a Mac user for 25 years, I cannot stand using the installed OS (Vista) which essentially leaves me with a brick. I would like to get OSX installed on it. I have read a number of the post over at micropctalk.com but that forum's support for osx86 installs seems stale. Here is what I have tried, Kalyway 10.5.2, iDeneb 1.4, XxX 10.5.4, and Leo4All to no avail. Kalyway and iDeneb install but hang with the prohibited sign on reboot and XxX and Leo4All never get to the install due to video issues. I would prefer to use one of the methods that allow the use of the retail DVD ( I have a 10.5.6 here I can use). I tired a couple of different boot-132 iso images and they both tanked, one with a blue screen and the other at the leopard background with a spinning beach ball. I am sure the problem is one of not have the correct kexts because I have read of other UXes having OSX loaded. What kext should I be trying to get the boot-132 method working? Here are my machines specs as listed by SIW:
