If you really want to overclock, you're gonna have to use an external program to do it since you have a dell. Use clockgen, it's the best for software overclocking. bonestonne Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 i wouldn't say overclocking a Pentium D will get you anywhere, with the 800mhz FSB and 2+2mb L2 cache...they don't have much performance to gain. I have a Pentium D 940 lying around...if you're interested in it, i'd say check around and see if your dell supports it...feel free to send me a PM if you'd like, I don't have a use for it anymore, i'm trying to sell my older hardware.
